Matt Stedman

Watch Video

Matt Stedman is an assistant minister and pastor of St Andrew’s 7pm congregation. He grew up in Sydney, studied science at Macquarie Uni, then worked for a geological firm before undertaking mission work in South Africa. After that, Matt worked in London and came back to Sydney to join a start-up IT company. He is about to finish a Bachelor of Divinity at Moore Theological College. Matt and Emily were married in December 2007.

Matt is excited about church at 7pm. He says, "We don’t gather on a Sunday night because there is nothing better to do, we meet because Jesus has called us together and is changing us to be more like himself. While on the outside we may look like everyone else, we take what God says in the bible very seriously. We are all about freedom. Freedom is having the power to be who we were made to be; to be in a relationship with God through Jesus and with the power to love others."

"I would love you to come along and hear what God has done, is doing, and will do on earth. He has done great things, and there is more to come. Come along and get plugged into God and his people."
